We’ve booked our time together - hooray! Now what?

By now you should have received quite a few documents from me for signing, these should include:

  • Consent for Care

  • Payment Policies

  • Notice of Privacy Practices

  • Photo consent

  • Intake form

If you haven’t received these, please let me know ASAP. These are super important to getting us off on the best foot for our appointment.

If you are a self-pay client, I will be charging you the full fee at the conclusion of our appointment and will be sending you a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Meeting in-person in your home

Thank you for welcoming me into your home!

I will bring a professional baby scale and will plan to weigh your baby before and after each feed, and will just need a small space on the floor or table to set it up.

It is ideal if your baby(or babies) is ready to eat about a half hour after our appointment begins, so we have a little time to chat in advance of the feeding. I know babies don’t have a ton of interest in the schedules we set for them, so if this doesn’t work out don’t sweat it!

Plan a well-lit space for us to meet that is comfortable for you and has everything you might need during the appointment - a cozy seat; a lactation pillow if you’re using one; any tools (pump and equipment, nipple shield; bottle or feeding implements you’ve been using); diapers and wipes; something to drink or eat if you’ll need it.

Let me know in advance if you have any pets. I love animals, but they don’t always love strangers coming into a space that has their new baby human! If you have a partner, family member or friend who is supporting you, they are welcome to join us if you’d like them to.

If possible, I’d love access to your wifi while we’re together.

Meeting virtually

Invite a partner, family member or friend to manage the camera in a well-lit and comfortable space. To get the angles I’ll need, this is a full family affair! If you are using a scale at home have it handy. As above, it is ideal if your baby(ies) are ready to eat about a half hour after our baby begins, if possible. Have your space ready with everything you might need for our time together.

If you are experiencing pain when feeding your baby, please take a few videos of your baby’s mouth (tongue, gums, lips) and while feeding, and send them to my email in advance of our appointment.

Can’t wait to see you soon!
